Tom Jones Music Video "Give a Little Love"

Official Music Video

Media & Entertainment

Working in conjunction with Pulse Films and directors Emma & Del, RJDM animated and produced the official music video for Sir Tom Jones' "Give a Little Love". Inspired by classic black-and-white cartoons of the 1930s and 40s, the film transformed Tom Jones into a stylised animated character.

Ricky O'Donnell served as Animation Director, with the RJDM team bringing the character and world to life.

Where it made a difference

The animation gave the track a distinctive visual identity that stood apart from a conventional performance-led music video. Its retro cartoon aesthetic created a playful interpretation of Tom Jones while demonstrating how character animation could become the central storytelling device of a mainstream music release.

What we helped solve

The creative challenge was to translate the personality and energy of Sir Tom Jones into an animated world while supporting the directors' distinctive visual concept. The character needed to remain recognisably Tom while working convincingly within the exaggerated movement and language of classic rubber-hose animation.

What we delivered

RJDM delivered the animation production for the official music video, bringing the designed characters and environments to life in a 1930s/40s-inspired cartoon aesthetic.

Ricky O'Donnell led the animation direction, with the studio handling the animated performance and production in conjunction with Pulse Films.

Fun Fact: We all appeared as characters in the Music Video and if you look we named the streets and shops our Children's names.
