The LEGO Group's onboarding journey brings together different activities and learning experiences across a new colleague's first 90 days.
RJDM's animations provide the creative thread connecting those moments.
Rather than moving directly from one training activity to another, colleagues are introduced to each stage through familiar characters, engaging storytelling and a consistent animated world.
NOVA, PIX, SCOUT and BRICK act as guides throughout the journey, helping to introduce what's coming next, establish context and encourage colleagues to get involved.
The Mission Control setting gives the experience a recognisable visual identity, while the time-travel narrative adds humour, curiosity and a sense of adventure.
Where it made a difference
Mission Possible needed a creative thread to connect the different stages of the LEGO Group's global onboarding journey. Our characters and animations provide that connection, introducing activities, building anticipation and helping new colleagues feel part of a wider adventure. With a consistent visual world, familiar guides and playful storytelling, the films help make the experience more welcoming, memorable and engaging.
What we helped solve
The challenge was to bring an existing onboarding concept to life without distracting from the learning activities themselves. The animations needed to feel unmistakably LEGO, appeal to a global audience and provide engaging transitions between key milestones. RJDM created a cohesive cast of characters and a distinctive Mission Control world, giving the programme a consistent visual identity and an entertaining way to introduce each stage.
What we delivered
RJDM designed and developed four original 3D characters, NOVA, PIX, SCOUT and BRICK, alongside a bespoke Mission Control environment. We produced seven character-led animated films incorporating storytelling, 3D animation, voice performances, lip-sync, motion graphics, music and sound design. Each film introduces a different stage of the onboarding journey and leads into the wider training activities. We also supplied supporting character artwork and poses for use across the experience.
