Working with The Edge Picture Company, RJDM created an award-winning mixed-media animation designed to communicate the environmental and practical benefits of aluminium recycling. Combining animation, design and visual storytelling, the film turned a sustainability message into something engaging and memorable. The project went on to win Bronze for Best Graphics, Animation and Special Effects at the 2009 IVCA Awards.
Where it made a difference
The film helped make the benefits of aluminium recycling easier to understand and more engaging than traditional corporate or educational communications. Its creative execution was recognised with a Bronze award for Best Graphics, Animation and Special Effects at the 2009 IVCA Awards.
What we helped solve
The challenge was turning a potentially technical sustainability and recycling message into a piece of communication people would actually want to watch. Working with The Edge Picture Company, we used visual storytelling to simplify the subject without losing the core message.
What we delivered
A complete mixed-media animated film combining illustration, motion, compositing and animation to communicate the aluminium recycling story in a clear and memorable way. The finished production combined creative storytelling with the polish required for high-level corporate communications.
